Web Animation and Multimedia Mike Ehling This workshop will be a continuation of the Flash Workshop held over the past few years, but expanding to include open-source alternatives to Flash, particularly JavaScript and Dynamic HTML, and possibly also the open-source 3D program Blender.

We won't be completely abandoning Flash, since it's practically indispensable for sound and video applications, and some workshop sessions will still be devoted to it. Unfortunately, though, in the current economic climate, hobbyists and small developers may be reluctant to invest in the full suite of Adobe products, so warranting a closer look at free or at least lower-priced alternatives.
